Friday June 20 2008 By Will Cottingham, for the Banner A custom design and installation business, known as Millan Marble & Granite, initially opened its doors six months ago, and word of mouth is starting to spread, says Raul Millan, owner and operator.
“People are starting to talk,” he says. “And that is definitely a good thing.”
Milan almost ended up going back to his native Argentina for work, when his wife convinced him to stay and open his own business.
“I like the idea of working for myself,” Milan says. “Even if I work 24-hour days, I’m working for me.”
But the decision to open in Orangeville was an easy one, he says.
“I drove through town while working for someone else,” Milan says. “And I just really liked it.”
