Chamber events set for September
Dufferin Women in Business, an organization within the local chamber of commerce, is organizing two events during September.
The first is a dinner and theatre event on Wednesday, Sept. 24. The night will begin with dinner at Greystones Inn at 5:30 p.m., which will include a ceasar salad, choice of entree (either steak or salmon), dessert and coffee or tea.
Participants will then proceed to Theatre Orangeville for the premiere of Step Right Up, the first production of the 2008-2009 season, at 8 p.m. Cost is $50 plus G.S.T. Tickets are limited and the deadline for registration is Wednesday, Sept. 17.

The following day, Thursday, Sept. 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., is DWIB’s monthly networking luncheon, which takes place this time at Monora Park.
There will be a fall fashion show featuring clothing from Creekside Clothing Company, Mark’s Work Wearhouse and 1st Impressions Corporate and Sports Wear Inc. Lunch will be catered by TK’s Catering.
The cost is $22 (early registration) for members or $30 after Sept. 22; non-members pay $30 (early registration) or $35.

New auto care business opens
Green Tree Auto Care Inc., specializing in light truck service, recently opened at 9 Stewart Court, Unit 2 in Orangeville.
While focussing on trucks, the shop can also service all makes of automobiles.
Be it routine maintenance, diagnostic services, electrical wiring and repairs, cooling and heating systems, chassis service, lease or insurance inspections or custom work, Green Tree Auto Care invites residents to try out the new shop for all their automotive needs.

RBC opens new location
RBC Royal Bank (RBC) is opening a new full-service branch located at Broadway and C-Line. The new branch offers a full array of banking services to meet the financial needs of the community including personal and small business products and services, financial planning and a mobile mortgage specialist who can meet clients at home, at work, or at the branch.
“RBC is very excited to be opening our second location here in Orangeville,” says Bruce Gehlen, RBC’s regional vice-president for the Orangeville area. “This is a growing community with diverse financial requirements and RBC is committed to ensuring we meet the needs of our customers and community.”
