Local area talent was well represented at the 76th annual Association of Community Theatres of Central Ontario (ACTCO) Gala held April 5 at the Paradise Convention Centre in Concord. Orangeville natives Kim Blacklock and Kay Lyons both received nominations for their work on two separate plays with the Caledon Townhall Players (CTHP). Blacklock was nominated for costumes for Straight and Narrow. She was also the director and played a leading role in that play. Lyons was nominated for her work as stage manager on Opening Night.

Travis Montague of Tottenham (Ted in last year's The Perfect Manhattan at CTHP) was nominated for best performance of a male in a leading role in a comedy for Caught in the Net, at Newmarket Stage Company.

The big winner of the evening was Kathryn DeLory of Erin. DeLory won a Thea for best director in a drama for her masterful direction of Norm Foster's Outlaw for Markham Little Theatre. DeLory will be directing the Caledon Townhall Players production of Enchanted April in May.
