Theatre Orangeville’s Musical Theatre Young Company’s Production of Clowns that took place last weekend was smash-hit success!
Audiences of all ages leapt to their feet at the end of each performance to give a well-deserved “standing o” to the sensationally talented cast of young people who joined us from all over our community — Orangeville, Erin, Shelburne, Mansfield, Arthur and Caledon.
Bravo to Brittany Allan, Madison Bratton, Abbey Carrigan, Sadie Cunningham, Kate Delfosse, Elisabeth DuBois, Korina Elmes, Zoe Garyfalakis, James Gerus, Emma Heimbecker, Melinda Holland, Chloe Jordan Horne, Selayna Hostrawser, Lexie Houghton, Grace Karklins, Michael La Cute, Rebecca Moore, Jono Orme, Jocelyn Rutgers, Shaina-Brielle Turgeon and Jodi Turnbull.
Director Anne Reid, choreographer Jenee Gowing, set designer Beckie Morris, lighting designer Paula Stewart, costume co-ordinator Lorraine Fennell, costume assistant Catherine Epners and technical assistant Nick Squires tickled the feathers on our heads and helped to let the joy of who we are come to the light.
Don’t miss the upcoming Theatre Orangeville Drama Young Company production of Just This Once Upon A Time, written and directed by Jane Ohland Cameron. This wonderful original new show plays at Theatre Orangeville Aug. 22-24.
Once again, the show stars incredibly talented young people from all corners of our own community. For tickets, please call the Theatre Orangeville box office at 519-942-3423.
Century Church Theatre’s Summer Festival in Hillsburgh is presenting the hilarious hit play, Who’s On First?, later this summer. Billed by its author, Jack Sharkey, as “a nightmare comedy,” the play involves false accusations among friends and lovers and leads to wildly improbable situations involving a lamp with strange powers, a rubber chicken, and the strangest party ever!
Who’s On First plays from Aug. 13 to 23. The shows run Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. Evening performances take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. Tickets are $27. For reserved seats, please call the box office at 519-855-4586. For details, visit www.centurychurchtheatre.com.
