SummerFeast
The 3rd annual SummerFeast: A Culinary Experience in the Hills of Headwaters began this week and runs until Sept. 5.
Thirteen of the region’s finest restaurants will band together — in partnership with The Hills of Headwaters Tourism Association — to offer special menus of their extraordinary cuisine at very affordable prices.
The restaurants participating in the 2008 edition of SummerFeast are: 10 North Restaurant on Hwy.10, north of Orangeville; Belfountain Inn in Belfountain; Black Birch Restaurant and Hiding Inn Hockley in Hockley Valley; Consulate Dining Lounge in Caledon East; David’s Restaurant in Erin; Mrs. Mitchell’s Restaurant in Violet Hill; The Millcroft Inn & Spa in Alton; and Il Corso Ristorante, Juniper Grill & Wine Bar, One99 Restaurant, Seasons on Mill Street, and The White Truffle in Orangeville.
Each SummerFeast restaurant will offer a dinner menu, and in many cases both a lunch and a dinner menu, at "prix fixe" rates of either $15 or $20 for lunch and either $25 or $35 for dinner. Each menu includes at least three-courses, making it an excellent value at any of these restaurants.

House Tour
Tickets are now on sale for the Headwaters Hospital Auxiliary Fall House Tour that takes place on Saturday, Sept.  13.
Tickets purchased before Sept. 3 are eligible for a draw to win a trip for two on the Credit Valley Explorer steam train, including lunch.
Tickets can be purchased at Booklore, F-Stop Camera, Pear Home, The Home Shop, Scotia Bank, Headwaters Gift Shop and the Women’s Health Club. There are ticket outlets set up at Berney’s Pro Hardware in Caledon East, Forster’s Book Garden in Bolton, Jelly Craft Bakery in Shelburne, Renaissance in Erin and Rosemont General Store in Rosemont.
