St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Shelburne is hosting a ham and salad supper from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children aged five to 12 years.

Dufferin County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited Canada are hosting its first annual Sportsmen’s Dinner and Charity Auction in the community room at the Orangeville Fairgrounds. Doors open at 5 p.m. for no-host cocktails and auction item viewing. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $75 per couple, $40 per person or sponsor packages of $250 are also available. The Dufferin County Law Enforcement Golf Tournament takes place at the Shelburne Golf Club on Hwy. 24. The tourney starts with registration at noon, a shotgun start at 1 pm and a combined dinner and awards ceremony at 6 p.m. To register, call Dave Quinton at 519-925-3838 or Sue Snider at 519-925-0818. Fee is $95 per golfer or $30 for just the dinner.

Tomlinson is a passionate ornithologist, horticulturalist, landscape architect, and as an environmentalist, was recently honoured by his hometown of Aurora.
