A Toronto teenager faces a pair of careless driving charges, laid by two different police forces less than an hour apart.
The first stems from an Aug. 24 collision in Shelburne, with another from OPP officers north on Highway 10.
Shelburne police say the collision occurred at about 10 a.m., between an Acura and a Dodge pickup truck at the intersection of Owen Sound and Main streets.
According to police, the Acura driver tried to pass the pickup truck as they both attempted a right-hand turn and a collision ensued.
Neither driver was harmed; damage to both vehicles is described as minor.
Sageevan Negendram, 18, of Toronto, was charged with careless driving. Police say he was released from the scene at about 11:30 a.m.
Shortly after noon the same day, Grey County OPP were dispatched in response to complaints about aggressive and unsafe driving on Highway 10.
As a result, officers stopped an Acura and two Honda Civics.
Police say motorists reported the vehicles were passing inappropriately and forced other drivers to take evasive action to avoid collision.
Charged with careless driving are Nagendram, Suseeenthiran Kathirkamanathan, 24, of Toronto and Sutharson Makeswaran, 26, of Ajax.
